LSD (Hallucenogenic)

Class A drug

Other names: Acid, trips, tabs, micro-dots or named after the picture that appears on the blotting paper.

Description: White powder or a colourless liquid. Sold as blotting paper squares with the liquid.

How is it used?: Mainly swallowed but can be sniffed or injected.

How long does it last?: Peak effects after 2-3 hours, fading out after up to 12 hours depending on the dose.

Effects?: Hallucinations (seeing things that aren’t really there), people’s sense of time, place, sound and colour can be distorted, dizziness, bad trips, severe anxiety, accidents due to ‘tripping’.

Long term problems?: After long term use, the user may have flashbacks and bad experiences, paranoia, anxiety, constant disorientation.
