What is the Learning Gateway?
It’s a chance to make a success of your future even if you didn't do well at school.
How will the Learning Gateway help me?
> You will have a personal adviser who will help you plan for your future.
> You will get help with the skills that you need in life eg working with other people, talking and writing, using computers and becoming more confident.
> Your personal adviser can help you to find a job, a training place or a course and help you to make a success of it.
> They can help you sort out problems that may be stopping you getting into work or training.
> Your personal adviser will continue to keep in touch with you and help you until you are settled in training, education or work.
Will I get paid?
> To start with you will get travel expenses while you are deciding with your personal adviser the best way forward.
> If you need to develop your skills for getting on with your life, you will get an allowance of £40 per week and £50 bonus once you start learning the skills you need.
