Choices 18+                                                                     
Advice and information for students in their first year of advanced level courses

Parents & Carers                                                              
Providing answers to key questions for parents and carers of students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities who are leaving school or college

Education choices 13+                                                   
Between 13 and 16 you will need to make choices about which GCSE’s to choose and then whether you want to continue your education after GCSEs, find a job or a training course.    

Education choices 18+                                      
Your local Connexions Centre and school/college will also be able to provide information on the full range of learning opportunities open to you at 18+. They will also be able to tell you about entry qualifications for jobs, the types of experience that you will need, local training opportunities and higher education.

Work                                                                                
Information for young people about part-time work, full-time work, training and apprenticeships

Health                                                                                  
If you are unwell or are concerned about your health see your doctor or call NHS Direct (24 hour confidential health advice and information) on 0845 4647. Your Connexions Personal Adviser is also there to help you to make contact with the people or agencies who can advise you on specific health issues.

Housing                                                                              
Whether you are thinking about moving out of home, or are not sure what housing help is available, this leaflet gives you some details about the options and where to go for advice.

Travel                                                                                 
If it is too far to walk or cycle, and unless you are old enough and fortunate to have your own car, using public transport is usually the most accessible and affordable method of getting around.

Money                                                                                 
Whether you want to know about the types of benefits that may be available to you, or how to manage your finances, this leaflet will give you an insight into money matters.

Law                                                                                   
This leaflet will help you to find out what the law states about what you are and are not legally allowed to do between the ages of 13-19.

Free Time                                                                         
Whether you are looking for some relaxation or activity, to meet new people, learn new things, take up a hobby or help in the local community – there’s lots of things to do. Don’t forget to check out the interactive map for loads of local links, information and ideas for your free time.
