Learning Gateway

> This is an initiative which allows Connexions Services to provide significant additional support to help certain young people to prepare for education, training and future employment.

> In particular it is aimed at young people who have perceived barriers which prevent them entering into learning or have not realised their full potential.

> They are allocated a Personal Adviser who is dedicated to making sure that they get enough support to move on.

> Those clients in the Learning Gateway who qualify for Bridging Allowance or Jobseeker's Allowance are exempt from the Guarantee Group (and therefore some of the benefit requirements) until they are deemed ready to enter suitable opportunities.
