Vegetarianism

There are loads of reasons why people choose to become vegetarians, and if you are thinking of becoming one, think carefully about all the issues and decide just how far you want to go.

> Vegetarians do not eat meat, poultry, seafood or anything made with animal fat or meat or fish stock.

>
Vegans go further, and don’t eat anything containing meat or dairy products (milk, eggs etc.).

>
If you decide to choose one of these options, remember to keep up your protein and iron levels up by eating alternatives to meat (such as pulses, quorn and tofu) as well as continuing to choose from the other food groups daily.

>
Simply being a vegetarian does not guarantee good health.
