Reigate Prince's Trust Team Starting 8th March
The course is a full time course running Monday to Friday, 9.30 – 5.30 and we will be running it out of Reigate Baptist church, Sycamore Walk, Reigate, Surrey, RH2 7LR.
The Prince's Trust Team is a challenging 12-week programme that helps up to 15 young people, between the ages of 16 and 25, to develop the confidence, motivation and skills to turn untapped potential into success.
The aim of the Prince's Trust Team programme is "to enable teams of young people, from diverse backgrounds, to work in the community and give them the incentive to continue to make a contribution of lasting impact both on themselves and their communities."
The programme consists of a teambuilding residential, health and safety training, planning and target setting, preparation for a team project in the community (including fundraising), implementation of the community project, individual work experience placements, help with CVs and job hunting and a final team challenge.
The participants, over the period of 3 months, will have opportunities to improve many hard and soft skills desirable by employers and society in general. These include: team work, leadership, communication, caring for others, taking responsibility, tolerance and problem solving.
The course concludes with an awards ceremony with friends, family, the local press etc. The participants receive a City & Guilds Achievement qualification as well as Food Hygiene and First Aid qualifications.
