3: Sexual Health Survey
Take our online Survey and be entered in a prize draw to win cinema tickets - we would be grateful if you could either complete or pass on to your young people. Together we can make Surrey sexual health services better.
The Surrey health service is launching an online questionnaire for people of all ages to have their say in shaping the future of sexual health services in the county. The ‘it takes you to tango’ questionnaire does not ask personal questions but focuses upon asking for your views about services such as family planning and STI clinics.
We needs as many people as possible to participate in the consultation as good sexual health is an important issue for most people at some point in their lives. All responses will be anonymised and kept strictly confidential. To access the questionnaire go online to:
www.surreyhealth.nhs.uk/youtotango
To receive a postal copy of the questionnaire with a freepost response envelope contact Jo Greenaway, Health Promotion Specialist on 01372201611 or write to her at: The Department of Public Health, Pascal Place, Randall’s Business Park, Randall’s Way, Leatherhead, Surrey, KT22 7TW.
Have your say and help shape the future of sexual health in Surrey
The closing date for completing the questionnaire is Friday 18th July.

Job Vacancies for Young People
Did you know that there are a wide range of job vacancies, vacant college places and training courses all over the county waiting to be filled? As the majority don’t have particularly demanding entry requirements, they are an ideal choice for many NEET youngsters.
Our Centres produce regular listings of local opportunities. Vacancy Bulletins are now listed on the Connexions website Job search page and you can also pick up copies from your local Centre to share with the young people you are currently working with.
NEET Activities Flyer - July - Sept 2008
Please find attached a document highlighting a range of NEET activities taking place for young people around the County from July until the end of September 2008. The aim of the document is to give you an indication of the types of activities/programmes that are available or are currently being undertaken.
The next edition of the flyer will cover the period October - December 2008 and ideally I would like to distribute it to you all week commencing 16th September which would allow you some time to speak with your NEET young people and potentially get them signed up onto a course/programme that may be starting within this period.
If you are involved in any NEET (16-18 year old) activities or know of any activities for NEET young people that are taking place between October and the end of December 2008 then please let me have the following details by 12th September and I will include the programme in the next flyer:
- Course title
- Brief description, to include, number of weeks, core content, referral process etc
- Agency/provider
- Dates
- Time
- Costs if any incurred by young person
- Contact name
- Contact details i.e. telephone number and email address
