11. Feeling Good Week, 6 - 10 July 2009

About Feeling Good Week (FGW)

Feeling Good Week is an annual health awareness week organised by Surrey CAMHS. Each FGW has a theme. During the week schools and youth organisations in Surrey run classes, assemblies and activities around the theme. CAMHS provides resource packs, posters and grants for activities to help support the week.

Take time out this FGW

We are pleased to announce that the theme for Feeling Good Week 2009 is time out. This theme focuses on taking time out from the stresses and strains of everyday life to do something for yourself and others. Having fun, relaxing and doing things that you wouldn’t normally do can have a positive impact on emotional well-being. This theme can be adapted for children and young people as well as staff, parents and carers – after all, we all need to take some time out!

Resource packs

As always, we are working closely with Healthy Schools to produce a free resource pack full of ideas on what to do during the week, as well as application forms for grants. Packs will be available mid-March.

Twilight briefing sessions

If you would like to know more about FGW, how you can get involved, or listen to the experiences of schools and youth groups, we are running two free briefing sessions at the end of March. We are currently confirming venues and dates so please check back for updates.
