West Surrey.

It is a free and confidential counselling service for young people.
Counselling means giving you the time and space to talk in a friendly, non-threatening environment about issues that concern you.

The Counsellors are qualified in counselling/psychotherapy to diploma level and above. They undertake counselling in line with the British Association of Counselling Code of Ethics.
It is based in GP surgeries and schools throughout the West Surrey area.

If there is no one in the office, then there is an answer phone.
OR contact the base most convenient to you (see list below).

The Meeting and what will happen:

The Counsellor will:

> start and finish sessions on time.
> inform the young person at the earliest opportunity if a session needs to be cancelled.
> keep private and confidential everything that is said with an understanding from the young person, that their safety and welfare takes priority.

The Young Person will:

> where possible inform Health Centre/School direct to cancel an appointment if it is not required or are unable to attend and may re-book immediately.
> use the service of their own free will and commitment.
> hopefully fill out an evaluation questionnaire form at the end of the counselling relationship.
